Terms and Conditions

Prices - Our prices are all inclusive, so you won't be asked to bring towels or your own bedlinen.  You'll find the cottage is very well equipped.  Pricing is per property and not per person.

The prices include all fuel, some logs for the fire, tea towels, kitchen cleaning materials, towels, bed linen and duvets.

Payments - We accept online payment or by cheque.  Currently payment online and any booking made within 10 weeks of the start of your trip, is in full.  For bookings made by telephone or by post, greater than 10 weeks in advance, a deposite of £60 must be made at time of booking, with the balance in full due 10 weeks before the start of your trip.  As long as  the property is available  and we have received appropriate payments, you will receive written confirmation by either email or post.  It is your responsibility to check your emails regularly and let us know about any changes to your email address.  As soon as you receive your confirmation, you must check the details carefully.  If anything is not correct you must tell us immediately.

If you do not pay any payment due in relation to your booking by the appropriate date we are entitled to assume that you want to cancel your booking.

Changes - If you want to change any detail of your confirmed booking, we will do our best to make the changes.  All changes must be made in writing.  We may treat changes to your dates as a cancellation of the original booking and so you will have to pay cancellation charges (see Cancellation Policy)

Short Breaks - Short breaks can either start on a Friday and finish on a Monday or start on a Monday and finish on a Friday.  Weekend and mid week braeks are normally priced the same.

Arrival Times - You can arrive at 'Allen View' at any time after 3pm on the start date of rental period (unless previously arranged at the time of booking confirmation).

Leaving Times - You must leave by 10am on the last day (unless previously arranged at the time of booking confirmation).

You and all members of your party agree to keep the cottage clean and tidy, to leave the cottage in a similar condition as you found it when you arrived.  You are responsible for the actual costs of any breakage or damage in or to the cottage - along with any extra costs that may result - which are caused by any members of your party.  We can ask for an extra payment from you to cover any related costs.
